Univeristy owned student housing - terrace house

There are 43 terraces located in three streets - Arundel Street, Chapman Steps Forest Lodge (Camperdown Campus) and Darlington Road (Darlington Campus). See Camperdown/Darlington map.

These terraced houses are over 100 years old and whilst retaining the heritage of a bygone era they are continuously being maintained and refurbished for your comfort with modern facilities and security devices.

Internet ports are available in some of the houses, but wireless can be picked up in every house.

A typical terrace house accommodates 4 mixed gender students in their own single study bedrooms.

All bedrooms are fully furnished and each student is supplied with bed, mattress, mattress protector, wall heater, study desk, study chair and wardrobe.

The residents share a fully furnished living area, one or two bathrooms, a coin-operated laundry and a kitchen with microwave, cook top and fridge supplied. Small kitchen appliances are not supplied by the University but students will often share their appliances amongst themselves.

You will need to bring your own bed linen, towels, personal electrical items, pots, pan cutlery and crockery which will give the residence your own personal touch.

To help with the adjustment of living in University Owned Student Housing we endeavour to have one student from the previous academic year residing in each terrace. And where it is possible three or four terraces share one back yard to promote a community atmosphere.

There is very limited off street parking available, but you can apply for an on street parking permit from the City of Sydney Council.

The rental fee includes a weekly clean of the common areas, access to the University’s Security Service 24 hours a day 365 days a year, all utilities, however any costs associated with the internet or telephone are borne by the resident enabling you to use the service provider of your choice.
